Our client, which products are regarded as industry benchmark for their quality, usability and durability, is a manufacturing leader of instruments for industrial processes and laboratory consumables. Specifically, they produce innovative equipment which measure, analyze, control the quality and monitor the following environment: Laboratory (medical) equipment and consumables, industrial processes, water and environment, and other tools. To join their growing team in the Netherlands, we are currently looking for a professional Sales Engineer.

De functie / The role

As a Sales Engineer of the lab equipment department, your focus will be primarily on the biotechnical industry. Quality control and Research and Development companies for both the food and (medical) chemical sector will also be part of your domain. When initiating the contact with a client, you will look at current processes, actively listen to the needs, ambitions and challenges of the customer, and you will assist the start-up phase of the instruments and provide ad hoc training. Specifically, you will identify the needs of the customer and add value by providing tailor-made solutions.

In addition to managing your client portfolio, you will also have the chance to generate new business with prospects, by inspiring them with new technologies and solutions. Through your personal approach and long-term focus, you will quickly grow into a trusted and expert partner who will become the main point of reference for current and future clients.

You have a higher degree in a scientific or related field.
You have an above-average interest in laboratories and industries
Besides having a commercial mindset, you like to engage with others and have a good conversation.
You are an initiator who wants to keep learning.
You are creative and you like to think outside the box
