De functie / The role
What will you do as a Sales and Business Development Manager?
The main purpose of this role is the further development of the Dutch medical nutrition market for Abbot Nutrition. You will visit and contact dietitians in primary care and institutions in the Netherlands. How? That is on to you. Think out of the box and be creative. We give you the tools and you will focus on the purpose.
What will your responsibilities and roles be?
With the purpose always in the cross-hairs you will be responsible for further identifying commercial opportunities bases on market insights. You will give external presentation of products, scientific insights and will supporting customers. And that won"t be it. Part of your work is gathering market insights, drawing up sales plans and giving input on market approach and product positioning. Together with your colleagues, you will picking up customer-specific projects and provide marketing business intelligence info, managing business reviews and monitoring of project KPI"s. And last but not least, you will provide analysis and interpretation reports to management regarding typical sales force effectiveness metrics ( coverage, frequency, time on territory etc. ) and areas for improvement. In other words, lots of challenges inside of a challenging and beautiful market!
Where will you work?
Our head office is in Hoofddorp where there is a team of 8 colleagues. The manager is a woman with lots of experience who is eager to educate new colleagues and make sure that our new colleague can develop to be a successful Sales and Business Development Manager.
Your working area will be in the middle of the Netherlands or South of the Netherlands.

What will you bring?
We would like to see a Bachelor or other education in business, marketing, economics or a related field. However, if you are driven, eager to learn, commercial, social and a big affinity with the work of dietitians and food another education field is also an option.
What we do like to see is a minimum of 1 years" experience in a commercial role. You bring good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Outlook and you are fluent in English and Dutch. If you speak French that will be a big plus.
You bring natural flair with you and are excellent social and have good communication skills. We will see that back in how you easy interact with people from different backgrounds. Oh and working under pressure and be able to handle many tasks at the same time is not an issue for you.
